A younger brother was driving the older brother’s car and got a ticket issued by camera (mailed to the house). The ticket was issued in the older brother’s name, since the car is in his name. If he just pays it for the younger brother, the speeding offense will go on the older brother’s record. How does this damage his record? How serious is this? Is it true that it could affect the older brother’s insurance rates?
my wife and bought a house a year ago and the house payment was always $1411. My new statement says we owe 1453. What kind of scam are the banks running? Can someone please explain this to me?
We were supposed to have our insurance deductible raised, so our payment was actually supposed to go DOWN.
One of by neighbors one house over had a tree that fell over when it was windy. The tree wrecked my neoghbours fence and both of our power lines. The neoghbours don’t lime us much and they are refusing to pay for our damadged power chords but they’ll pay for our other neoghbours fence. We dontbwant to make a bigbdeal out of it and make our insurance rates go up but there is no way we are going to pay. The tree was unstable and was going to be pruned by the power company in a few weeks. How should we go about this without having to file a claim and get our insurance to go up or spend money on legal fees or paying for our lines to get fixed? Any suggestions would help
I’m 18, I’ve never owned a car, credit, insurance or anything.
I’ve been living on my own for the last 6 months (moved out of parents house) and finally have enough to buy a car. However, I somehow was quoted $712/mo @ Allstate (online), and I’m definitely not paying that much for a car that’s only worth just under $1,500… that’s insane. I’d rather walk then pay that crap.
What do you suggest I do to get a lot lower insurance rate ($150~ and under a month, 200 tops)?

Hello, I am currently looking to get off my parents insurance for car insurance and put the car in my name. I have recently been planning to move out of the house and get an apartment with my friend. So I have been preparing the costs of living on your own.
My parents don’t know about this yet but I did manage to figure out the price range of my car insurance monthly…it’s 300 dollars…which sounds very expensive. I did have two car accidents in the past two years which were both rear end collisions but only one was my fault. I know that should raise the price and I am only 19 but it sounds unreasonable when I know people who only have 150 monthly payment. Is there a way to find cheaper insurance rates?

Ok… Stupid me, trying to be nice and help my younger brother out… I did a “what if” quote with my insurance company and since he lives in the same house, they automatically put him on my policy, and i’m gonna be raped as far as rates. I told them to remove him or I’ll drop them. They refused, so Im shopping around.
If I leave this dump of a company, and go with another company, is there any way for this new company to find out from my old company that I have a brother in the house? Is there any way for this new company to find out (aside from me telling them- WHICH AINT GONNA HAPPEN)?
This time Im keeping my mouth shut… I learned the hard way.
It seems to me that waiting 2 years to implement health care legislation will encourage insurance companies to raise premiums through the roof similar to the way the credit card legislation allowed Citibank to increase their rates to 25% and more. Who is the government really looking out for? It is certainly not the aveage taxpayer.
OK OK OK. Health Insurance is basically coming down to the point of covering the lower income. Will they contribute??? I already pay taxes for medicare and medicaid. Everyone is suppose to have insurance on their cars to drive in most states. You see how that happens. Let some ghetto idiot hit you and see whose insurance pays. Everyone is suppose to have house insurance. That doesn’t go so well. Insurance harmed and backed out of a lot of policies when KATRINA came to MISSISSIPPI and the insurance was gonna lose alot of money. So how exactly is making medical insurance a national health care plan gonna work when we cant get any thing that says insurance on it to pay but they are oh so glad to take your money. Also using medical insurance will there be a cap limit on how much you can use on an individual basis. Will your rates go up if you are frequent user such as people too stupid to get a regular check up instead of going to ER???
Mom had an emergency surgery four months ago plus three set backs. Needs another major surgery to finish the first procedure once she is healthy enough. She is under 60 so does not qualify for medicare or medicaid. Applied for disability but that will take at least 3 mos to process, and if approved still won’t be enough to meet the $3300/mo payment plan. Current monthly income is $911.00 from dad’s social security. House is paid for but cannot get a reverse mortgage (too young) or a home equity loan (income too low). Parents have cashed in their IRAs and stocks (losing 40% in fees, penalties and taxes). NOTHING is left. About to be turned over to collection tho they’ve always had the best credit rating. Hospital has offered a 25% discount if they could pay the entire initial bill, but there wasn’t enough stock/IRA money to cover even that.
Can we get the bill down to what an insurance company would pay for the same services? How do I find out what are “customary and reasonable fees”?
I love how Obama made it illegal for Insurance to deny people for pre existing conditions. And gave Insurance the “good to go” on higher rates across the board.
