No, your homeowner’s coverage will not cover you for a stolen vehicle. If the vehicle is stolen, you need to report it to the police. If you do not, then you could be liable for any damage the stolen vehicle causes including property damage and injuries.

    simple answer!

    Car insurance covers your car.

    House insurance covers your house.

    Any questions!

Your house insurance would not cover it unless it was stored in the garage.

If you newly purchased the car(brand new) , you may have a grace period before you report it to your auto insurance. Just ask your agent if you do. It may & you can have the peace of mind knowing that it’s coverd.

Just make sure your report this incident to the police and get a report. Your insurance company will need it & you’ll also need it to to prove that any tickets/accident’s by the thieves aren’t yours.

Home insurance does not cover any vehicle that is required to be registered for road use. If you didn’t have insurance on the vehicle, you have no policy to claim on. As far as liability for any accident or damage after you report the theft, don’t worry too much, unless you left the keys in the ignition.
